Meriden Center, Welcome Center
Beginning May 20, the Meriden Center will transition to summer hours. There will be no staff at the Meriden Center between May 20 and July 6. New and continuing students can register for classes, talk to an advisor, apply to the college, and/or take the placement test at the Middletown campus during this time. If you need to drop off any mail or paperwork, you may still do so at the Meriden Center during this time.
On July 6, when non-credit classes and intensive workshops are scheduled in Meriden, at least one staff person will be in the Meriden Learning Center in the mornings (8:30 to 12:00 noon) to offer assistance with admissions applications, placement testing, advising, and registration.
On August 17, the Meriden Center will reopen days, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Staff will be available to offer assistance with admissions applications, placement testing, advising, and registration.
On August 31, the first day of the fall semester, the Center will resume full day and nighttime schedules.
We understand that offering an abbreviated schedule can pose challenges for some students. If you need assistance, please contact us here and we will be happy to help.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE DAILY WALK-IN SESSIONS?
Walk-in Advising Sessions are open to all students (new, continuing, and readmit).
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REGISTERING FOR COURSES EARLY?
For many students, registering early removes a huge stress associated with transitioning to college and to a new experience. Faculty and advisors, who are truly engaged and want to get to know your interests, will help you with your academic pursuits.

Don’t worry about being locked into your schedule. You will have an opportunity to make changes up until courses are filled.
WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE DURING THE WALK-IN SESSION?
Just about everything! Any student – new or continuing – can walk in to one of our daily registration sites and complete or start the admissions process, financial aid process, or take the final step and register for fall classes. Specifically, they can:
• Apply to the college

• Receive personalized advising
• Register for classes (once the paperwork and assessments are finalized)
