Fall 2014 Classes Begin on August 27

Daily, Walk-in Advising Sessions

New students can walk in daily to one of our advising sites and start, continue, or complete the process of registering for fall 2014 classes starting Monday, May 5 at the Middletown campus and Meriden Center. Priority advising and early online registration for returning students is April 7-30Please Note: Advising for new students is mandatory, but appointments are no longer required so you are welcome to choose any of the times or locations listed below to meet with an advisor.  

Middletown Campus & Meriden Center
Monday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.*
Tuesday-Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Extended hours are available on Monday evenings until 6:00 p.m. during fall and spring semester class periods. The office will also be open on Monday evenings until 6 p.m. during the month of August.

Special Saturday Registration Hours
Saturday, August 9, Meriden Center: 9:00 am. – 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 16, Middletown campus: 9:00 am. – 2:00 p.m.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE DAILY WALK-IN SESSIONS?
Walk-in Advising Sessions are open to all students (new, continuing, and readmit).

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REGISTERING FOR COURSES EARLY?   
For many students, registering early removes a huge stress associated with transitioning to college and to a new experience.  Getting to know the curriculum earlier will set you on the path to success during your entire time here. Faculty and advisors, who are truly engaged and want to get to know your interests, will help you with your academic pursuits.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY SCHEDULE AFTER REGISTERING?
Don’t worry about being locked into your schedule. You will have an opportunity to make changes up until courses are filled.

WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE DURING THE WALK-IN SESSION?          
Just about everything!  Any student – new or continuing – can walk in to one of our daily registration sites and complete or start the admissions process, financial aid process, or take the final step and register for fall classes.    Specifically, they can:
•    Apply to the college
•    Take the basic skills assessment (required for new students)
•    Start or check their financial aid process
•    Receive personalized advising
•    Register for classes (once the paperwork and assessments are finalized)

I’M A CONTINUING STUDENT. DO I HAVE TO REGISTER IN PERSON?     
Continuing students can register anytime online or, if they prefer, during the daily, walk-in sessions.
