The Financial Aid Services Office provides financial assistance and guidance to incoming and continuing students at MxCC. Financial aid is funding intended to help students pay their education expenses. While you are expected to pay for higher education costs, sometimes those costs are greater than your current ability to pay. That’s where Irene Martin and her team may be able to help.
Irene is the Director of Financial Aid Services here at MxCC. She has been working at MxCC for the past four and half years. Her favorite part about working at MxCC is getting a chance to work with students. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio where she received her master’s degree in College Student Personnel. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Interdepartmental Science from American International College in Massachusetts.
When it comes to financial aid, students must apply for it every academic year. Irene advises students to apply early and pay attention to deadlines and requirements. She also encourages students to check their college-assigned email accounts and myCommNet accounts for important information regarding financial aid.
