Lifeng “Cindy” Li is currently the digital services/systems librarian at the Middlesex Community College Library. After earning master’s degrees in both computer science and library science from the City University of New York, she worked for the IT department at the Brooklyn Public Central Library in New York and the University of Guelph Library in Canada before coming to MxCC. She received her bachelor’s in information science from Wuhan University in China.
Cindy is interested in researching system integration, digital service and mobile technology. She is currently serving on an international system group – Alma enhancement team and two Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) consortia system expert teams: Systems/Network Zone management team and Primo/Discovery team.
She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Connecticut Library Association (CLA), Cindy is also serving on two CLA committees: resource sharing committee and CLA membership committee.
Active for more than a decade, Cindy is a member of the nonprofit organization – ECA (Eastern Culture Art) in Connecticut. Every year, they perform at festivals in the US, Canada and China.
