The government is spending massive amounts of money to stimulate the economy, but is it working? We are hearing bits of better news, so why are so many people still out of work? Why is there talk of another stimulus package in Washington?
These are some of the questions running through Americans’ minds right now and are among the topics addressed in the upcoming program “Where’s the Economy Going Now?” on Wednesday, September 9th from 12:30-1:10pm at Middlesex Community College’s (MxCC).
The program, which is free and open to the public, begins with a talk by MxCC’s Professor of Economics, Tad Lincoln, and ends with a Q & A session. All are invited to join in the discussion, which guarantees to broach some interesting topics that are in the forefront of all of our minds including government spending, the Cash for Clunkers program, job loss, and stimulating the economy.
The event is in the Student Lounge in Founders Hall at MxCC’s Middletown location, 100 Training Hill Road.
