Students at Middlesex Community College’s Meriden Center are enjoying improved and expanded library services thanks to a $3,000 grant awarded to the MxCC Foundation by the CUNO Foundation of Meriden.
The grant was used to purchase new computer software and related equipment to allow students to register and check out materials including textbooks, DVDs and other reading materials. The library also purchased four eBook readers, which will be available for student use at the beginning of next semester.
“The Meriden Center has undergone some wonderful changes and upgrades, and our library expansion is one of our most important new services,” said Tami Christopher, director of the Meriden Center. “The CUNO Foundation grant allowed us to properly equip our library for lending, which is crucial to meeting the needs of students and faculty. We appreciate their support of this project, and are glad to offer these services to our student community.”
