May 6, 2011 – The Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc., hosted its annual Scholarship Reception and presented 28 different awards to 77 students. All winners were selected by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee which reviewed completed applications and ensured all criteria was met. Students received their awards, which totaled more than $40,000 combined, at a May 6 ceremony on campus.
“We are pleased to offer very important support to these fine deserving students,” said Roger Brewer, chair of the Foundation Scholarship Committee. “I am moved by their qualifications, their personal stories and their hopes for the future. I am also grateful for the generosity of the donors who make these scholarships possible.”

Daube, president of MxCC, said. “The MxCC Foundation’s Scholarship Reception is one of the highlights of the academic year for our students, faculty, and donors. We all believe that finances should never be a barrier to advancement, and these scholarships.”
