These Tech Talks are open to CT faculty and staff. Our first session of the FALL 2014 TECH TALK SERIES is on Friday, October 3 and our second session is on Friday, November 14.

Jim DeCesare will share his successes (and failures) with merging traditional art principles and digital media. In his presentation, “Creativity in the Digital Age,” Jim will show how students are learning to critically analyze the form and function of digital media by creating digital products that convey their unique stories, causes, expressions and insights in purposeful ways. Additionally, Jim will share the ubiquitous value of creativity in the digital age.
Jim DeCesare is an award-winning artist and educator. His commissioned paintings are part of numerous public and private collections regionally and nationally. DeCesare earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Hartford Art School, a Master of Arts degree from Syracuse University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Hartford Art School graduating with distinction from each. He serves as Adjunct Instructor of Visual Fine Arts at Tunxis Community College, and Head of Visual and Performing Arts at The Master’s School in West Simsbury, Connecticut. DeCesare is a regular guest speaker and instructor at schools and arts organizations throughout Connecticut.
