Tonight: “Traces of the Trade” Dinner Screening

Middlesex Community College will host a film screening of the documentary “Traces of the Trade” Thursday night at 5 p.m. in Chapman Hall. Director Katrina Browne will lead a discussion after the film, which calls attention to Northern involvement in the U.S. slave trade through the lens of Browne’s ancestors.

A buffet dinner will be served before the film (5 p.m.); the screening begins at 6 p.m. No admission fee will be charged, but donations will be accepted.

The event is sponsored by the Middlesex County Healing Racism Coalition, Middlesex United Way, Middlesex Community College, Connecticut Valley Hospital, Multicultural Learning Institute, and the National Conference for Community and Justice.
