The workshop is designed to assist students with essay writing, grammar and reading skills.  This workshop is particularly beneficial for students placing in developmental writing and reading.  At the end of the workshop, students may retake a placement test to see if they can progress to another level of English.

Many college-level courses require English prerequisites. Thus, strong reading and writing skills are important to be more successful in college studies. To benefit from the lessons, students are asked to make the full two-week workshop commitment. With strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills, students will accomplish more in their programs of study and ultimately in their careers.

The workshop will run from July 8-11 and July 15-18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Snow Hall on the Middletown campus. The cost is $20. For more information about this program, please contact Professor Donna Bontatibus at 860-343-5802 or at dbontatibus@mxcc.edu. Download the program brochure here.
