On November 28, students, faculty and staff gathered in Chapman Hall 808 to experience how many cultures of the world celebrate the holidays. The campus community shared traditions, food and music, and learned about historical origins and meanings.

This year, there were 20 holiday displays that featured Hanukkah, Chinese New Years, Ramadan and many more. Some displays were put together by a combination of faculty and staff. A majority of the displays were done by MxCC ESL students, many of whom represented their respective countries.

The Middletown community got involved with this event. Local Mexican restaurant La Boca provided southwestern spring rolls, which was a very popular dish among guests.

The International Holidays Celebration was sponsored by Student Activities and ESL students. Did you attend? Comment below with what food or display you liked the best!
