Meet Michael Amouzou, associate director of financial aid at MxCC!

Michael has been working at MxCC for over seven years. He has a master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University, a bachelor’s degree from Pace University, and an associate’s degree from Hostos Community College.

For the past four years, Michael has been coordinating the College Goal Sunday workshop at the College.

College Goal Sunday gives students and their families a great first step on the pathway to college.  At College Goal Sunday, students and parents can talk to experts and get in-depth help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

“My goal is to help high school seniors, college students, parents or guardians in providing them the opportunity to complete the FAFSA, the most important form needed to secure financial aid for college,” said Michael.

This year’s College Goal Sunday will be held in Wheaton Hall on Sunday, January 27 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information or to register, visit collegegoalsundayct.org or call Michael Amouzou at 860-343-5737.
