Featured speakers include former MxCC student Beverly Donofrio, author of Riding in Cars With Boys and Astonished and Charles Barber, Visiting Writer at Wesleyan University and author of Songs From the Black Chair and Comfortably Numb: How Psychiatry is Medicating a Nation. Breakout sessions include Writing as a Tool for Healing, How to Negotiate a Mortgage, How the Arts Help to Heal, and Delivering Your Story.

Although it is called a women’s forum, the event is open to both female and male students, as well as members from the community. The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, visit http://mxcc.edu/womensforum.
