The rich Sicilian culture and civilization in Middletown and neighboring areas are a testimony to the heritage of the American Sicilian community in Connecticut.  If you would like to learn about the origin of Sicily’s population and the languages spoken there, this course is for you.  Professor Glaviano, a Sicilian native, will cover the geography of the island, including volcanos and archipelagos.  Learn about the cities of Sicily along with the Greek and Roman ruins. You’ll also have an opportunity to sample some of the island’s delicious culinary products including pastas and cannoli.
