The Web Design and Development Certificate program offers students opportunities to integrate the world of computers, Internet, art and multimedia in completion of the certificate. It covers relevant areas of web site construction, including designing and programming pages, developing multimedia content, as well as building and managing a web site.

This program is design not only for the person who wants to design and develop a personal website, but also for the systems, publishing or business professional who would like to understand the capabilities of this powerful technology and to use it to provide innovative solutions to business problems.

This is a 27-credit certificate that takes a full-time student about one year to complete. Individual progress and requirements for additional course work may affect the time it takes for program completion.

A Certificate in Web Design and Development is broad and can’t cover all of the necessary skills to work in most positions. Students should consider transferring to a four-year college or art school, which has specialized programs within Multimedia. The credits from this certificate will transfer into the Multimedia Degree.
