Summer is a great time to take a class in digital arts or new media! MxCC’s Center for New Media is offering a series of course packages providing training and certification in digital arts and new media. Take advantage of this deal: Pay for two courses and get the production workshop FREE (9 credits)!

Pick one of these four tracks for a customized intensive course experience: Interactive Multimedia Production, Web Design, New Media Production, or Digital Journalism. Registration begins April 23. Classes run from May 27 until August 8. For more information visit, www.mxcc.edu/cnm/summer.

The Center for New Media

Students returning from spring break will notice that the lobby of Chapman Hall is a little brighter. New signage directs students and guests to the new Center for New Media, as well as to other departments in Chapman Hall.

It’s always cool to see MxCC alumni in the news. Army veteran Bruce Haag ’05 was featured in The Record Journal about his fellowship at Wallingford Public Access.

For the next several months, a veteran who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan will be working at WPAA-TV through a fellowship program offered by The Mission Continues, a nonprofit with the goal of empowering those who’ve served in the military.
