jonschrothJon Schroth, former MxCC student, will be heading up a new film-making lab at Epoch Arts, located in East Hampton. According to an article in The Middletown Press, the lab will be used for film making, animation and after school programs.

Jon Schroth transferred to Ringling College of Art and Design from Middlesex Community College and has had a successful career. Jon has worked on movies such as RobotsIce Age: The MeltdownHorton Hears a Who!Ice Age: Dawn of the DinosaurRioIce Age: Continental Drift, and Epic. Middlesex Community College's Center for New Media is located in Middletown, CT.


The CNM offers innovative associate degrees in broadcast-cinema, graphic design, multimedia, and communication, as well as certificate programs in areas such as interactive entertainment, gaming, 3D animation, new media production, news and sports production, corporate media and web design.
