It’s always cool to see MxCC alumni in the news. Army veteran Bruce Haag ’05 was featured in The Record Journal about his fellowship at Wallingford Public Access.

For the next several months, a veteran who served two tours of duty in Afghanistan will be working at WPAA-TV through a fellowship program offered by The Mission Continues, a nonprofit with the goal of empowering those who’ve served in the military.

Middlesex Community College Gets FCC Permit For Radio Station [courant.com]
Middlesex Community College recently received a permit from the Federal Communications Commission to build a radio station as part of its curriculum.
Professor Rich Lenoce, the director of the Center for New Media at the college, said the FCC granted a construction permit that gives the college 18 months to build a radio tower and transmitter, then start broadcasting.
