Go Back to Get Ahead Open Registration Event

Are you a prospective Go Back to Get Ahead (GBTGA) student? Come to this event to get all your enrollment tasks completed at once! Students will be screened by GBTGA staff upon arrival, then move through Admissions, Advising, Registration, Financial Aid, and Paying for College. Representatives from MxCC, Capital Community College, Central Connecticut State University, and Charter Oak State University will be in attendance.

Go Back to Get Ahead is a limited-time program by the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education, and the State of Connecticut that provides up to three free 3-credit courses for CT residents who have been out of college for more than 18 months. What do I need?

These items are not required to participate in the event, but providing them will expedite the process. If you haven’t applied to MxCC yet, you will need to complete a college application and provide the $20 application fee. You can apply online or in person. When applying to the college, you will need to provide:

-Proof of high school completion
-Transcripts from other colleges attended (unofficial transcripts can be used for advising purposes)
-Immunization documentation for MMRV
-Your social security number and photo identification
-Payment is due when you register for classes
