CT Make A Difference: Green Street Arts Center

October 21, 2014 @ 3:00 pm - 5:45 pm

As part of CT Make a Difference Week, volunteers are needed at the Green Street Arts Center. The Green Street Arts Center is a community-based department of Wesleyan University that serves children, teachers, and the Middletown community through a variety of programs. The heart of Green Street is the Discovery AfterSchool Program, which serves about 60 kids each semester in grades 1-8. Volunteers for CT Makes a Difference Week will be working as snack time assistants, teaching assistants, and homework helpers.

The need is for 5-10 helpers for the individual classes, working with elementary and school aged children on 10/20-10/23 from 3-5:45 p.m. In addition, more helpers are needed to assist students with homework. The agency could use up to 40 volunteers to help with homework on 10/20-10/23 from 5:15-5:45 p.m. Sign up here.
