Middlesex faculty also led classroom presentations in accounting, computer information technology, early childhood education, new media, and veterinary technology for the visiting students.

“I really like the atmosphere of this campus. The presenters were easy to understand and kept it real,” said Jalene Ford of Meriden, Conn., who is also looking into taking a course at MxCC@Platt.

Donovan McCaleb of Cromwell, Conn, added, “I’ve also visited Syracuse, but I liked seeing a local school up close as well. The event was well organized, and the Center for New Media is very cool!”

The students came from 10 high schools in the towns of Cromwell, Deep River, Surhan, Haddam-Killingworth, Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, and Westbrook.
