As part of its commitment to be the college of its community, Middlesex Community College is expanding its music offerings to area residents by offering a course at Green Street Arts Center this February. Download the flyer here.
MUS*137, History and Appreciation of Jazz 3 credits & noncredit option is a music appreciation course that uncovers the development of Jazz from ragtime to contemporary practice. The class meets on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon and is taught by Nathan Nokes. Course starts Feb. 7, 2014 (late start) and meets at Green Street Arts Center (2nd floor, Performance Studio).
To register for the course, visit the Records Office, Founders Hall at Middlesex Community College, 100 Training Hill Rd in Middletown. Register CRN: 1671 for credit and CRN: 1710 for noncredit. Please follow the steps for new students and current students.

The Green Street Arts Center and Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science are working together to bring the valuable intersections of art, math, and science to the community.These two Wesleyan University programs are creating a space to provide interdisciplinary teaching and learning opportunities for youth and educators throughout Connecticut.
