A Lifetime Fulfillment

Virginia King Galgano, MxCC 2014

When Virginia graduated from high school, she wanted to go to college. Unfortunately, at that time, girls took a business course and got a job, so she worked as a bookkeeper.

Virginia attended Middlesex Community College off and on for 16 years. She just took a course now and then until she decided to pursue a degree in general studies. In 2014, she became a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and graduated with an associate degree. She was 78 years old at the time.

“Graduation from community college was a lifetime fulfillment for me,” said Virginia, who passed away in 2022.
