John Szewczyk, MxCC 1996
John Szewczyk graduated from Middlesex Community College in 1996 and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Trinity College in 1999. He majored in political science and educational studies. In 2019, he received a master of business administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut.
For the more than 18 years, John was a member of the Hartford Police Department, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He has served on the town of Durham Board of Selectmen from 2007–2022.
In 2022, John was sworn in as the interim chief of police for the Boxborough, Mass., police department.
