Gayle Barrett is currently serving as the Director of Enrollment Management at Middlesex Community College. She believes that each member of the campus community has a role to play in the success of a student and is proud to help prospective students on the first step of their educational journey.
Before arriving at MxCC in 2014, Gayle worked as a nursing admissions specialist for the Board of Regents for Higher Education for six years. Prior to that she was the Director of Continuing Education at St. Vincent’s College and the Associate Director of Admissions at Post University.
Gayle received a master of science degree in counselor education from Central Connecticut State University. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Stonehill College. She is also a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership program at the University of Hartford. Gayle is affiliated with the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC).
When not on campus, Gayle can often be found on stage performing in local community theater productions. She is an active volunteer with various community theater organizations throughout the state, and is a member of the Hartford Stage Volunteer Advisory Board. She also enjoys traveling, designing jewelry and is an avid reader. Some of her favorite authors are Agatha Christie and Jill Mansell.
