Phi Theta Kappa to Induct 57 New Members at Middlesex Community College

Apr 19, 2017 – The Middlesex Community College (MxCC) chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Beta Gamma Xi, will induct 57 new members at a ceremony on Friday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. at its Middletown campus. PTK, an international honor society that rewards academic excellence while promoting leadership, fellowship and service, was first established in 1918 and chartered at MxCC in 1996.

This year’s inductees have distinguished themselves as high achievers, both as scholars and as members of the College community. They have earned and maintained a grade point average of 3.65 during their college studies and have also participated in a variety of extracurricular activities designed to better their own lives and the lives of those around them.

In addition to receiving individual honors, this year’s members will also celebrate their chapter’s recognition as a Five Star Level Chapter, with the election of their chapter president, Messanvi Amenounve, to a regional leadership position within the national organization.

The following students will be honored at the April 21 ceremony to be held in Chapman Hall, room 808:
