Comprehending, speaking, and writing the language of medical terminology can be very challenging for English language learners. It is essential that all students enrolled in healthcare programs become comfortable with medical terminology in order to effectively and accurately communicate with professionals and patients in clinical settings. “ESL for Healthcare Professionals” instructs English language learners in the appropriate use of medical terms, including proper English expression and pronunciation. This course is open to students enrolled in non-credit healthcare programs only.
