Are you looking to refresh your skills as a phlebotomist? This course provides students who have completed a Phlebotomy Technician program with up-to-date phlebotomy procedures. In this course, students refresh their skills as a phlebotomist and practice blood draw techniques. This eight-day class includes classroom learning and simulation labs that cover venipuncture, specimen collection procedures, safety and universal precautions, common laboratory tests with clinical significance to body systems and disease processes, and laboratory equipment.
This program does not prepare students to become Certified Phlebotomy Technicians.
SUPPLIES: 1) Navy blue scrubs. 2) A textbook is required for this course and can be purchased at the MxCC bookstore.

Refund Policy
A full tuition refund can be made if you withdraw from your course at least one working day before the course start date. Once the course has started, refunds are only provided under special circumstances and require a written request to the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Office. They are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A refund is not guaranteed.
