Veterinary Assistant Internship

Offered at Pieper Memorial Emergency and Specialty Center

Are you looking to advance your career in veterinary assisting, strengthen your clinical skills or build your resume? This internship provides students with an opportunity to become involved in the care of animals who require advanced veterinary services.

This 30 hour internship will provide opportunity for the student(s) to explore the different facets of veterinary medicine you could pursue as a certified veterinary assistant. Pieper-Memorial specialties include Emergency and Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Oncology, and Physical Therapy. Upon successful completion of the course, students earn a college certificate.

Due to the limited availability of these individual internships, students must apply for this course.

Requirements for participating in this program are as follows:

  • Completion of a Vet Assistant Program approved by MxCC.
  • Ages 16 and up.

Refund Policy

A full tuition refund can be made if you withdraw from your course at least one working day before the course start date. Once the course has started, refunds are only provided under special circumstances and require a written request to the Workforce Development  and Continuing Education Office. They are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A refund is not guaranteed.
