Offered at Pieper Memorial Emergency and Specialty Center
Are you looking to advance your career in veterinary assisting, strengthen your clinical skills or build your resume? This internship provides students with an opportunity to become involved in the care of animals who require advanced veterinary services. Students spend 30 hours working alongside the veterinary team in an acute care center that provides emergency care and advanced specialty services including surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, diagnostic imaging, dentistry and physical therapy. Upon successful completion of the course, students earn a college certificate.
Due to the limited availability of these individual internships, students must apply for this course. The application can be found on the college website at mxcc.edu/ce. Internships are scheduled individually on a rolling basis. There is no closing date or due date for the applications. Prerequisite: Veterinary Assistant Certificate
