Screening of Film “Anthropocene” and Discussion with Geologist Christine Witkowski

April 8 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The next film in The Elements: An Annual Environmental Film Series will be Anthropocene.  The screening will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 7pm at Chapman Hall, Middlesex Community College, 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown, CT.

Anthropocene, narrated by Alicia Vikander, is about humanity’s massive re-engineering of the planet, and a new geological epoch coined the Anthropocene, describing a planet shaped more by mankind than by nature. More information and a trailer can be found at https://theanthropocene.org/film/.

Following the film, we welcome you to stay for an informal discussion led by Geologist Christine Witkowski, who is  Professor and Program Coordinator of Environmental Science at Middlesex Community College.  We hope you can join us for our final film of the 2018-2019 season!  Please phone the Conservation District office for more information at 860-346-3282.
