American Job Center Virtual Outreach Event

Students looking to seek new employment and career opportunities are invited to attend virtual information sessions with the American Job Center (Connecticut) on the second Tuesday of each month. The center also assists eligible credit and non-credit graduates with training scholarships.

Join Darlena Young and Singquel Short from the American Job Center Outreach Team for a brief presentation highlighting the programs, services and opportunities available at AJC. Attendees can also ask questions.

Young is an ambassador for the American Job Center in Connecticut and works with students facing financial challenges as they look for a new career. Short is the center’s communications specialist.

When students are experiencing challenges and respond in unexpected ways, problems can arise and create disruptions in student learning. Participants in this workshop will learn a variety of different strategies for helping address problematic behaviors in the classroom. Takeaway: Participants will identify multiple strategies for how to handle problematic student behaviors. Provided by the Office of Teaching and Learning – CT State
