Courageous Conversations: Black Men in White Coats

Did you know that fewer Black men applied to medical school in 2014 than in 1978? And that Black men have the lowest life expectancy of any race/ethnicity/gender group in the United States? With Black men comprising only 2% of American doctors, this comes as no surprise.

The documentary film “Black Men in White Coats,” produced by Dale Okorodudu, MD, dissects the systemic barriers preventing Black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large. (Watch the trailer here: https://player.vimeo.com/video/472076121)
