MY LIFE IS NOW ON GOOGLE CALENDAR AND I AM NO LONGER A TRASH FIRE
Sometimes at the beginning of the school year, college hands you a paper planner, so you take it and promptly put in a pile of “important” papers that are rotting away near your workspace. While the planner has slowly been squished and crushed to the bottom of the pile (and possibly transformed into a diamond), you’ve been referring to your syllabus for all your important due dates. Except the syllabus has been updated twice now, and the syllabus filenames are super similar so sometimes you mix up which is which, and a snowstorm changed the date of one of your tests, and now you’ve actually got two major projects due on the same day, for different classes. Oh, and quiz tomorrow.
What do you do? WHAT DO YOU DO?
The truth is, you’re an adult now, and there’s too much going on for you (or anyone) to remember it all. Luckily, free software can help with that.
Join study skills tutor Dan Barry to see how a few well-placed Google Calendar events and alarms can change your life. We will look at basic and advanced features of calendar software, and you will leave knowing how to use it to manage your commitments and deadlines. This workshop is free! Please prepare by creating a Google account if you don’t already have one. Bring your smart device if you have one, and your course syllabi.
