About the Chief Executive Officer
Kimberly Hogan, former dean of administration at Middlesex Community College, began serving as Interim CEO in April 2022 and will continue in this role through June 2023. She was appointed by CSCU President Terrence Cheng after the departure of former CEO Steven Minkler. Interim CEO Hogan provides executive presence, academic and financial leadership, vision, and direction for an institution with nearly 4,000 students, a main campus in Middletown, a satellite location in Meriden, two manufacturing centers, as well as online programs. “I am very grateful for the opportunity to expand my leadership role on campus and in our system, continuing to impact and shape the future for the students and community we serve here at Middlesex,” Hogan said.

Corey Martell began working at Middlesex Community College in 2006 as a secretary for the College Information and Communication Center. After she was promoted to secretary 2 and then appointed as administrative assistant in the former president’s office, Corey began serving as the executive assistant to the president in 2010. (The role changed to executive assistant to the CEO after the college leadership changed from president to chief executive officer in 2018.) Before coming to Middlesex, Corey was the executive assistant to the vice president of finance for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority at Mohegan Sun and worked for Jewett City Savings Bank. Corey earned an associate degree in General Studies from Three Rivers Community College. In 2017, she was recognized with the Corporator Award from the MxCC Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and relaxing on the beach.
