NATECE: Before I came to Middlesex Community College, I was working at a group home and also at a frozen yogurt shop.

I chose Middlesex Community College because of the location.

Phlebotomy was my major and what made me choose it was working in a group home and just seeing the pain that they went through so I just wanted to make them comfortable and pain-free.

In my phlebotomy class at MxCC, I learned the basic skills of drawing blood on different patients and in class on each other,

and I got to go on several internships at Middlesex Health, which, in the end gave me an opportunity for a job at Middlesex Health Outpatient Center.

I had three internships where I drew blood on real patients. I enjoyed the fast-paced, the interaction with each person, and I gained hands-on experience. I highly recommend MxCC's continuing education program.

This fast-paced course allowed me to get a phlebotomy job in the field that I love.
