EVA: Hi, I'm Dr. Eva Jones, one of the English professors here at Middlesex Community College. And I'm so pleased to welcome you, albeit virtually, to our beautiful campus. This video will be an introduction to campus so that you know what is where when you do visit MxCC in person. I hope this video will familiarize you with the campus and assist you in knowing where to locate the necessary faculty and staff to help you be successful.

The first building we'll visit is Founders Hall. Founders will be the building you'll visit first.

Founders Hall houses MxCC's administrative and student services offices. The building holds the Campus CEO's office and offices for most of our deans.

The Office of Enrollment Services, located directly inside the front door, is every student's first stop upon applying to MxCC. Even after applying and getting acceptance you'll visit the Office of Enrollment Services in order to register for your classes, take care of some official matters such as name or address changes, advisor or major changes, and to apply for graduation. The Office of Enrollment Services works closely with the Financial Aid Office and the Business Office to guide students through paying for college. All of our representatives in these offices are committed to ensuring that MxCC students are getting the help they need.

Once students are enrolled in their courses they can visit MxCC's bookstore, nestled near the center of the building.

The Founders Hall pavilion, the cafeteria, the student lounge, and the game room are spaces where a number of academic and social events occur for students to enjoy year-round. The Student Activities Office sponsors so many of these events and it provides a number of clubs for students to join.

The Career Development and Counseling Center is an invaluable student resource in Founders Hall. From thinking through choosing your coursework, future career options, or considering potential transfer schools, the CDCC has lots of tools to help you.

The next building we'll visit is Chapman Hall, located nearest to Founders Hall. Chapman holds MxCC's Jean Burr Smith Library and Learning Commons.

The library holds a great collection of books, DVDs, ebooks, databases, and more. Students can check out laptops or select musical instruments like ukuleles. In addition to its collection and study spaces, the library's greatest resources are the librarians who are always ready and willing to help students tackle their coursework.

Also, within the library and Learning Commons is the Academic Success Center. The Academic Success Center provides free tutoring in all subjects and disciplines to MxCC students. For those who are taking online courses, Distance Learning is also located within the Jean Burr Smith Library and Learning Commons. For anyone who needs help with Blackboard or accessing their online courses.

Chapman Hall is also home to MxCC's Center for New Media, complete with state-of-the-art media labs and production studios to give students cutting edge hands-on experience in video television or radio production. In addition, the Center for New Media also holds computer labs to teach graphic design, web design, and social media classes.

Next to the Center for New Media, on the bottom floor of Chapman Hall, is the Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing lab where students not only learn to serve patients in need of eyewear but they can also receive care for their eyewear as well.

On the top floor of Chapman Hall, MxCC has multi-purpose rooms called the "808 Suite" and meeting rooms that are used for a host of events such as community events or classes.

MxCC has two primary classroom buildings. The first is Wheaton Hall. Wheaton Hall holds the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Health Information Management and Business departments and classes.

On the first floor students can find faculty offices for the science department.

The second floor of Wheaton Hall holds the Business, Health Information Management Engineering, and Mathematics faculty offices.

In addition, also on the second floor students can visit Information Technology to access or to address matters related to their MxCC online accounts. These may include MxCC email accounts, mycommnet, or Office 365 accounts. Next door to IT is a computer lab that remains open whenever the campus is open for students to use computers and printers to get their schoolwork done.

The second classroom building on MxCC's campus is Snow Hall. The Arts, English, Foreign Language, and Social Science departments and classes mostly all occur in Snow Hall.

The Art department office and art studios are all on the first floor, along with the Veterinary Technology offices.

On the second floor of Snow Hall students will find faculty offices for the English, Foreign Languages, non-credit division, Computer Science, and Social Science departments.

Snow Hall also holds MxCC's Technology Center, located on the second floor, which allows Computer Science students to help troubleshoot student technology issues, again a free service for MxCC students.
