New students meet with an intake advisor to discuss your goals, programs at MxCC, and select your first semester classes.
Students need to have on hand your English and math placement information (High School GPA or Transcript, SAT/ACT, Advanced Placement, CLEP, Accuplacer, and/or College Transcripts) to the meeting. If you need do not have any of these items, you must email Mx-Accuplacer@mxcc.edu before booking an appointment to discuss your placement process.
Student must also be prepared to pay for classes at the time of registration; a minimum of Fee payment will be expected at time of course registration. Students expecting Financial Aid should check with Financial Aid regarding your status. (Access Financial Aid status through myCommNet -> Banner Self-Service.)
Fall Classes Start August 26
MxCC faculty and staff are currently working remotely.
Intake advising staff will be working remotely and can connect with students through email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Cisco WebEx virtual meeting space. Appointments booked during this time will be conducted through Cisco WebEx. You will receive an email the next business day with information on how to connect to the WebEx virtual meeting. Please use the link and connection information in your Cisco WebEx meeting invitation to connect with your intake advisor for your appointment time.
Have on hand to show the intake advisor any of the following that may apply:
- High School Transcript (with GPA and prior courses taken)
- Information about your final high school GPA
- SAT and/or ACT Scores
- Advanced Placement Score(s)
- CLEP Score(s)
- Prior Accuplacer Placement Scores
- Transcript from any college credits earned
Each appointment is 45 minutes.
