Seven days before the first day of a course, registered students will be able to access their courses on My Institution page in Blackboard. Students will be able to view orientations and help information. Per professor, course content may not be visible until the first day of a course. We encourage you go through step-by-step instruction and orientation prior to first day. The orientation ensures you to test your computer and learn the basics including course navigation, discussions (bulletin board), mail, assignments (assignment drop boxes), and online tests. However, unless instructed by your professor, please do not complete any course-related activities or print any documents before the first day of your class; all class information is considered in progress until the first day.

We will post course overview or a course syllabus for the current semester as soon as we receive the information from your professor. A majority of our online courses run every semester or every other semester. If you would like to know more about an online course before registration, you may go to the Online Classes page, choose a previous semester, and review the course syllabus. The course syllabi posted here are for your reference in making a decision on registering an online course. The syllabi are subject to change and should NOT be used for completing the online courses you have registered. You MUST log on to your online class in Blackboard for accessing course content and participating in your class activities. Contact MxCC bookstore for textbook information. There are special requirements for some online courses. Please read the special requirements before registering an online course.
