MxCC’s Day of Service

This year’s Day of Service will occur on Friday, October 28th. This is an opportunity for students and employees to give back to our community through a series of service projects. Each year, we go to different organizations to meet a need.

This year we have four great locations we’re partnering with. MxCC faculty, staff and students are encouraged to sign up to volunteer at one of this year’s partner organizations!

Gilead Community Services
Project: indoor painting of kitchen, living room, and entryway for a group home
Time: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Portland

Cat Tales
Project: cleaning of cat sanctuary
Time: 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Middletown

Cans 4 a Cause
Project: sorting of cans and bottles
Time: 12-4 p.m.
Location: Middletown

Meriden Soup Kitchen
Project: organizing clothes donations and cleaning kitchen/dining area (please note, their storage area is dusty and not suitable for those with asthma)
Time: 1:00-4:00
