The MxCC Cares Student Emergency Micro-Grant Program seeks to assist eligible students coping with an unexpected hardship so they may continue their education at Middlesex Community College. The goal is to help struggling students complete the semester successfully.
Middlesex offers a unique experience for each student. Many of these rich educational experiences offer transformation to students’ lives and a level of growth and change unimagined. Clearing the way for everyone to access this kind of education and experience is the driving force for the Middlesex Community College Foundation. These organizations work hard to foster key connections and to facilitate access to the college experience for others.
“There is no equal opportunity to access higher education if it is financially impossible,” — Dr. Amy Wheaton
The MxCC Foundation promotes a lifelong connection to Middlesex Community College. Whether you are a donor or prospective donor interested in supporting the College through the Foundation, an alumna/us, a current or prospective student, a parent, or just an interested community member, we invite you become involved in the MxCC experience.
In everything it does, Middlesex Community College strives to be the college of its community. Our students come from Middlesex County and, by the numbers, 80% of them stay here to work, live, and contribute to their communities. The MxCC Foundation raises support for student scholarships, faculty development, instructional equipment, and public lectures and programs that contribute to the quality of life here in Connecticut.
It is the Foundation’s role to raise external support for students and programs at MxCC – enhancing the level of excellence that defines an MxCC education.
