Parking at the Meriden Center:
As of February 3, 2015, the Colony Street parking lot will be closed. We encourage you to park in the Upper Church Street Lot at 31 Church St. which offers free parking for Meriden Center students, staff, and visitors.

How to Get From the Meriden Center to the Main Campus Using Public Transportation

  1. You can use the Middletown bus system (MAT), which will pick you up at the Meriden Rail Station (just a few blocks from the Meriden Center). The route is called the “M” route or MLINK. The schedule is online at middletownareatransit.org. Schedules are also available on the buses, at the Middletown terminal or the main campus.
  2. The fare is $1.50 one way. Other fare options are available and can be purchased at the MAT terminal at 340 Main St. Middletown. Fare information is available online.
  3. Once you board the bus and pay your fare, ask for a transfer. The bus will bring you to the downtown MAT terminal, which is about a 20 minute ride (some runs go to the Meriden Mall in which case the trip to Middletown is about 30 minutes).
  4. When you reach the Middletown terminal, transfer to the “A” or SAYBROOK RD. bus. The bus parking spots are marked. Use the transfer you received from the ‘M” bus. You do not have to pay again. It is about a 20 minute ride to the main campus.
  5. The last “M” bus that leaves Middletown back to Meriden is at 5PM. That means you must catch the 4:14 “A” bus from the main campus to the downtown terminal.
  6. Saturday transportation is available. Check the schedule times as they differ from the weekday times. If you have any questions call the MAT terminal at 860 346-0212.

How to Get From the Main Campus to the Meriden Center Using Public Transportation

  1. You can catch the MAT “A” or Saybrook Rd. bus at the bus shelter located near the lower parking lot of the main campus.
  2. Once you board the bus and pay your fare, ask for a transfer. The bus will bring you to the downtown Middletown MAT terminal which is about a 20 minute ride.
  3. The fare is $1.50 one way. Other fare options are available and can be purchased at the MAT terminal at 340 Main St. Middletown. Fare information is available online.
  4. When you reach the MAT terminal, transfer to the “M” or MLINK bus. The bus parking spots are marked. Use the transfer you received from the ‘A” bus. You do not have to pay again. It is about a 30 minute ride to the Meriden campus. The MLINK stops at The Meriden train station where it is about a two block walk to the Meriden Center.
  5. The last “M” bus that leaves Middletown back to Meriden is at 5PM. That means you must catch the 4:14 “A” bus from the main campus to the downtown terminal.

MxCC’s Middletown campus is a regular stop on the 9 Town Transit busline. The line makes regular stops on Monday-Friday in Old Saybrook, Essex, Chester, Higganum, downtown Middletown, and at MxCC. See schedule here.
